The BPSA came to Peninsula Strategies asking for a data-driven analysis of what was preventing growth in the bicycle industry. Further, the BPSA members wanted Peninsula Strategies to advise them on key opportunities for growth going forward. We interviewed dozens of suppliers, retailers, customers and thought leaders to develop a comprehensive assessment of the industry and a set of recommendations. We presented our findings at the 2008 Bicycle Leadership Conference to a packed house consisting of the leaders of nearly every major Bicycle Supplier in the US. These findings have resulted in changes both at the industry level and within individual companies. |
